Ipnotico.
Altough some hours before he was at the hospital for some mysterious reasons, after Carter Tutti's performance, in Palladium theatre appeared onstage the real star of the night: Japan’s leading electronic composer and visual artist Ryoji Ikeda with the last chapter of his project, Test pattern presented in Rome for the first time in 2008.
Ikeda has developed a system that converts any type of data - text, sounds, photos and movies- into barcode patterns and binary patterns of 0s and 1s.
Not even one note but only beats and metallic sound perfectly synchronized with points, strights in black and withe wich become band, which cross, superimpose, stretch each other. Ipnotic.
