BOHO-HIPPIE CONCERT

Boho-hippie campaign adv by D Squared2 spring/summer 2012 by Dean and Dan who ironically call DEANDANSBURY ROCK SUMMER FESTIVAL, inspired by iconic image of Kate Moss in short and muddy Hunter boots alongside Pete Doherty at Glastonbury concert.
The Boho-hippie is now a concert uniform..from Woodstock to Coachella a few years are passed, but the outfits are more or less the same.
Campagna pubblicitaria boho-hippie di D Squared2 per la primavera/estate 2012 di Dean e Dan che ironicamente chiamano DEANDANSBURY ROCK SUMMER FESTIVAL, ispirandosi all'ormai iconica immagine di Kate Moss in short e Hunter infangati con al fianco Pete Doherty al concerto di Glastonbury.  Il boho-hippie è ormai una divisa da concerto, da Woodstock a Coachella  è passato qualche anno, ma gli outfits restano più o meno gli stessi.

DEAD MAN-BOHO CHIC

The Boho-chic style has its heigt in 2004-2005, but in 1995 Merit Allen, fashion journalist and costume designer, she dresses up Jonny Depp with a fur coat and a top hat in bohemian style. The movie was Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch, music by Neil Young!
Lo stile boho-chic trova l'apice della sua diffusione intorno al 2004-2005, ma nel 1995 Marit Allen, costumista e giornalista di moda, fa indossare a Johnny Depp una pelliccia e un mezzo cilindro in perfetto stile bohemian. Il film in questione era Dead Man di Jim Jarmusch, le musiche di Neil Young!

FENDI EXPERIMENT NIGHT

Ieri sera sono stata invitata alla serata della fondazione Alda Fendi Esperimenti "Transiti di Venere" nell'ex mercato del pesce, al foro Boario di Roma. Prodotto da Alda  Fendi (la minore delle 5 sorelle che  dal 2001 ha lasciato l'azienda di moda della famiglia per dedicarsi al mondo dell'arte), e diretto da Raffaele Curi, lo spettacolo si inspira a un evento raccontato da Shirley Hazzard  che racconta la storia di un francese che nel settecento andò fino in India per osservare il raro fenomeno del transito di Venere davanti al sole ma non ci riuscì mai a causa di mille disavventure. Da questa vicenda Raffele Curi ha tratto spunto per la sua performance: un'installazione a 360 gradi in cui le proiezioni alternano l'origine del mondo di Gustave Courbet (ovvero la mega vagina del  1866), anelli vaginali, immagini di un feto nel ventre materno,  del big bang, samurai che si suicidano, scritte incomprensibili del tipo "alcuni affermano che lo zed sia in grado di fermare il tempo" miste a incursioni sul palco di una donna incinta,  un giocatore di basket, ragazzi che giocano a ping pong, uomini e donne nude, fino ad arrivare a Fausto Bertinotti che legge passi di Ts Eliott. Tutto molto bello, ma  rimane un interrogativo di fondo:  aldilà dell'estetica perfetta, che cosa avranno voluto davvero comunicarci? Bah..

Yesterday I was invited to the night of the Alda Fendi Foundation's Experiment "Transiti di Venere" in the Ex. fish market at the foro Boario in Roma. Produced by Alda Fendi (the minor of the 5 sisters who has left the family's fashion company to dedicate hereself to the world of art) and directed by Raffaele Curi, the show is inspired by an event recounted by Shirley Hazzard who tells the story of a Frenchman that in the eighteenth century went to India to observe the rare phenomenon of the transit of Venus across the sun, but he never succeeded because of a thousand of mishaps. From this event Raffaele Curi drew inspiration for his performance: an installation at 360 degrees where the origin of the projections alternate world of Gustave Courbet (or the vagina of the mega 1866), vaginal rings, pictures of a fetus in the womb breast, the big bang, samurai who commit suicide, incomprehensible writings like "some say that the zed is able to stop time" mixed with raids on the stage of a pregnant woman, a basketball player, boys playing ping pong , nude men and women, until  Fausto Bertinotti reading of TS Eliott. Everything very nice but I still have a basic question: beyond the perfect aesthetics  what do they want  really to tell us? bah..

WITH A BLACK RIBBON

Basta un semplice nastro nero per rendere una camicia bianca qualcosa di speciale.

Nel 1966 Yves Saint Laurent ha creato lo smoking per la donna, da allora il classico nastrino nero, non ha mai smesso di presenziare alle sfilate. Se andiamo indietro nel tempo vi sarà capitato di sicuro di vedere Marlene Dietrich o Joan Crawford  (nell foto sotto che risale agli anni '40) vestite da uomo con la nocca al collo. Ma se se vogliamo andare ancora più a ritroso nel tempo, fino a metà '800, già nel vecchio west molte donne infiocchettavano i colletti delle loro camicie, lo testimonia la stessa Crawford nei panni della scaltra Vienna in Johnny Guitar, il celebre film western di Nicholas Ray ambientato nel 1850.
