WITH A BLACK RIBBON

Basta un semplice nastro nero per rendere una camicia bianca qualcosa di speciale.

Nel 1966 Yves Saint Laurent ha creato lo smoking per la donna, da allora il classico nastrino nero, non ha mai smesso di presenziare alle sfilate. Se andiamo indietro nel tempo vi sarà capitato di sicuro di vedere Marlene Dietrich o Joan Crawford  (nell foto sotto che risale agli anni '40) vestite da uomo con la nocca al collo. Ma se se vogliamo andare ancora più a ritroso nel tempo, fino a metà '800, già nel vecchio west molte donne infiocchettavano i colletti delle loro camicie, lo testimonia la stessa Crawford nei panni della scaltra Vienna in Johnny Guitar, il celebre film western di Nicholas Ray ambientato nel 1850.

You just need a simple black ribbon to make a white shirt something special.

In 1966 Yves Saint Laurent created the tuxedo for women, from then on, the classic black ribbon  has never ceased to attend the catwalks. If we want to travel back in time, for sure it happened to everyone of us to see Marlene Dietrich or Joan Crawford often dressed as a man with the knuckle at  their neck (here we see a picture of Joan Crawford from the 40ies). But if we want to go backwards more until mid '800, many women used to  decore the collars of their shirts with a ribbon, like Joan Crawford in the role of the clever Vienna in Johnny Guitar, the famous Nicholas Ray's western movie set in 1850.
