In 1920's backless dresses, bare arms and legs, silk dress with glitter and fake gem, are the main elements of the Art Deco style. People was obsessed for jazz and new dances such charleston and foxtrot. The bright style make up was in trend following the images of the Hollywood silent movie stars. The most important fashion designers of the time were: Jean Patou, Gabrielle Chanel, Jeanne Lanvin, Callot sisters. In 1929, with Wall Street financial crisis, begin the Great Depression, and it's the end of Art Decò style. The silhouette changed, it was tighter, fabrics becomes less expensive, dresses were made from monochrome color fabrics, and formed the base for the fashion of 1930's.
