HOLLYWOOD COSTUME EXHIBITION IN LONDON

Noi di Scostumista non potevamo non parlare di questa splendida mostra  inaugurata il 20 ottobre al Victoria and Albert Museum di Londra. "Hollywood Costume" celebra l'importanza dei costumisti, il loro ruolo di storici, antropologi e commentatori del sociale e l'importanza del loro mestiere nel dare vita a un personaggio. Hollywood Costume tramite la storia del  costume del cinema hollywoodiano porta alla luce il processo che compiono i costumisti nella  trasformazione di un personaggio dalla sceneggiatura fino allo schermo sottolineando anche il cambiamento del contesto sociale e tecnologico in cui hanno lavorato per tutto il secolo scorso.
Da Charlie Chaplin, passando per la Golden age hollywoodiana fino  all'avanguardia di Avatar, in mostra i 100 costumi fondamentali nel cinema dal 1912 al 2012.  Una visita è d'obbligo se siete da quelle parti.

"Hollywood Costume" celebrates the importance of the costume designers  theire role of  historians, social commentators and anthropologists and the importance of their work in bringing life to a character. 'Hollywood Costume'  trough the history of the costume in the holywoodian cinema illuminates the costume designer’s process in the creation of character from script to screen including the changing social and technological context in which they have worked over the last century.   From Charlie Chaplin through the Golden Age of Hollywood to the cutting-edge design for Avatar 100  costumes foundamental in cinema  are shown from the 1912 trough the 2012. A visit is  is a must if you're in London!
