La sua collaborazione con il regista teatrale Alexander Tairov le diede l'opportunità di creare originali costumi e scenografie per numerose produzioni. Fece inoltre anche degli schizzi per il film di fantascienza Aelita, di Jakov Protazanov.
Aleksandra Ekster was a painter, set designer and costume designer of Russian avant-garde.
Ekster's association with theater director Alexander Tairov provided her with the opportunity to create extremely original costume and set designers for innumerable productions. She also sketches for the science fiction film Aelita by Jakov Protazanov.
