THE THREE DESIGNER FOR COMME DE GARÇONS

Cecking the images of the exhibition "Future Beauty -30 Years of Japanese Fashion" which was held in Seattle this summer, I focused mainly on the clothes of Comme des Garçons and on 3 styles that have been able to give him Rei Kawakubo, Junia Watanabe and Tao Kuriahara. Three different styles but perfectly in line with the brand's philosophy, in other words clothes out of "fashion" context, but sculptures of eternal beauty.
Comme des Garçons is a Japanese fashion label headed by Rei Kawakubo in 1969. Junya Watanabe and, as of recently, Tao Kurihara have started their own sub-labels under the Comme des Garçons name to much acclaim.
Riguardando le immagini della mostra "Future Beauty-30 anni di moda giapponese" che si è tenuta quest'estate a Seattle, mi sono soffermata soprattutto sugli abiti di Comme des Garçons e sui 3 differenti stili che Rei Kawakubo, Junia Watanabe e Tao Kurihara gli hanno saputo dare. Tre stili diversi, ma perfettamente in linea con la filosofia del brand, ovvero abiti fuori dal contesto "moda" ma vere e proprie sculture di bellezza eterna.
Comme des Garçons è un marchio giapponese fondato da Rei Kawakubo nel 1969.
Fra i collaboratori storici di Rei Kawakubo, alcuni come Junya Watanabe e, più recentemente, Tao Kurihara dopo l'esperienza con Comme des Garçons, hanno creato dei propri marchi di moda.
