La storia del costume è costellata da abiti dorati, sinonimo di fasti e ricchezze. E per tutto il '900 fino ad oggi non c'è stagione e passerella in cui manchi un abito oro che sia realizzato con tessuti laminati, con paillettes, glitter o ricami preziosi. Esagerati anche per questi giorni di festa.
