MY GREEK TRIP-SIFNOS

My holidays have come to end, I'm charged enough to return to work.
After the incomparable sea of Sardinia. Although my nickname is La Muerte or Michael because of my pallor, I tried again with the sea, this time towards Greece.
Athens- Piraeus and boat to Sifnos, the only place booked to reach some friends at the Bay of Vathi. Sifnos is a difficult island because of the huge distances that you have to go through with a scooter or in quad, "is not really my cup of tea", I chose to get rid of my car even in Rome! So I decided to relax in the bay without doing too many kilometers -half an hour scooter under a blazing sun on winding roads is not exactly my idea of vacation.
However, being a nocturnal animal and loving when the air gets cooler, the stars and the moon I accepted the scooter trips after 8pm. Usually the dinner was in some tavern by the sea or in Chora, which in Sifnos is called Apollonia then we would continue the evening in small bars and clubs in the center of Chora. But I didn't spend the prettiest evening in one of the small bars of Apollonia, but dancing Sirtaki in a village festival in Artemonas, a small village 5 minutes walk from Chora. Here it is also pleasant to meet in the square in the morning for coffee, which it was reported to me as obviously the morning I did not move from the bay of Vathi.
Do not miss the path that goes from the beach Poulati to the ancient village of Kastro, here you definitely must stop by to take a mojito at Kavos Sunrise, a Cuban little bar whose owner is a big fan of Cuban culture although he has never been there. The most beautiful beaches of Sifnos are quite difficult to reach, picturesque bathing under the Chrisopigi monastery, with the sea bottom rich in fish.

Le mie vacanze sono giunte al termine, sono abbastanza carica per tornare a lavorare. Dopo il mare impareggiabile della Sardegna, nonostante venga soprannominata La Muerte o Michael per il mio pallore, ho ritentato la carta del mare, questa volta direzione Grecia.
Atene- Pireo e nave per Sifnos, l'unica tappa prenotata per raggiungere amici nella Baia di Vathi. Sifnos è un'isola difficile a causa delle distanze enormi che bisogna percorre in scooter o con i quad,
"is not really my cup of tea", ho scelto di levarmi l'auto perfino a Roma! Ho deciso quindi di rilassarmi nella baia senza intraprendere troppi km, mezz'ora di motorino sotto un sole cocente su strade tortuose non è proprio la mia idea di vacanza.
Essendo però un animale notturno e amando il fresco, le stelle e la luna mi concedevo uscite dopo le 8. Solitamente si cena in qualche taverna vicino al mare o nella chora, che a Sifnos si chiama Apollonia per poi proseguire la serata nei baretti e club del centro della chora. Ma la serata più carina non l'ho trascorsa nei baretti di Apollonia, bensì ballando il sirtaki in una festa di paese ad Artemona, un piccolo paesino a 5 minuti a piedi dalla chora. Qui è piacevole anche incontrarsi nella piazzetta al mattino per prendere un caffè, cosa che mi è stata riferita perchè ovviamente al mattino non mi schiodavo dalla baia di Vathi.
Da non perdere assolutamente il percorso che va dalla spiaggia di Poulati all'antico borgo di kastro, qui bisogna assolutamente fermarsi a prendere un mojito al Kavos Sunrise, baretto cubano il cui proprietario è un grande appassionato della cultura cubana pur non essendoci mai stato.
Le spiagge più belle di Sifnos sono abbastanza difficili da raggiungere, suggestivo il bagno sotto il monastero di Chrisopigi, con un fondale ricco di pesci.
