Il film della collezione è diretto da Ginevra Elkann, regista e nipote di Marella Agnelli, uno dei “cigni” di Truman Capote. E infatti La Resort 2022 Local Colour Collection, ambientata nella suggestiva cornice di Ischia, prende ispirazione dal viaggio, ricordato dallo scrittore Truman Capote nella sua raccolta di racconti “Local Color”, da cui la raccolta prende il nome. Simboli della narrativa di Capote sono i suoi “cigni”, belle donne che hanno condotto una vita glamour alla ricerca della perfezione. Con questa collezione Max Mara cerca di attrarre una nuova generazione di cigni, le donne lavoratrici di oggi con vite diverse, ma ugualmente glamour. La collezione Resort 2022 reinterpreta le silhouette anni ‘50 con un tocco sportivo e uno stile contemporaneo. Max Mara presenta una serie di stampe grafiche nelle nuances che vanno dal rosso, al cipria, passando per il rosa, fino al color scarlatto di quei gerani simili a quelli che crescono rigogliosi a Ischia, dove Truman Capote visse i quattro splendidi mesi descritti in “Local Color". Così come i gerani, anche la collezione Max Mara Resort 2022 è perfetta in questa località o in qualsiasi altro luogo.

The film in the collection is directed by Ginevra Elkann, director and niece of Marella Agnelli, one of Truman Capote's “swans”. In fact, the Resort 2022 Local Color Collection, set against the picturesque backdrop of Ischia, takes inspiration from the journey, recalled by the writer Truman Capote in his collection of stories “Local Color”, from which the collection takes its name. Symbols of Capote’s narrative are his “swans”, beautiful women who led a glamorous life in search of perfection. With this collection Max Mara is seeking to appeal to a new generation of swans, today’s working women with different, yet equally glamorous lives. The Resort 2022 Collection reinterprets the silhouettes of the fifties with a sporty touch and contemporary style. Max Mara presents a series of graphic prints in shades ranging from red to dusty pink, with pink in between through to scarlet similar to the colour of the geraniums that grow and flourish in Ischia, where Truman Capote lived for those amazing four months described in “Local Color”.
